Duet - Eden Winters The first half of the book is very good, easily a five star read. The problem lies with the second half of the book where a lot of the relationship building gets glossed over, and there is very little exploration of the modern world by Allili. Most of the second part of the story occurs from the point of view of secondary characters, which is frustrating as hell and very disappointing. When Allili and Malcolm are actually together they have great chemistry, no matter the time period, but too much time is spend apart in the second half of the novel. I would have like to see Allili adapt to the modern world but that is pretty much glossed over.
